I thought i would give using a word prompt a go.
Why do hard boiled eggs turn green?
I’m not an egg fan personally but my kids love a good hard boiled egg… but why do they sometimes get a green layer around the yolk?
Well apparently, the green ring around the yoke of a hard boiled egg happens because hydrogen in the egg white combines with The sulfur in the yolk. The cause is from cooking the eggs to hard or for too long!
To stop this happening do not over crowd the pan, do not over cook and plunge immediately in cold water to stop them from continuing to cook.
So thre you have it a random fact about green eggs but unfortunately nothing about ham !
